As a thank you to their loyal visitors and new golfers alike, guests can enjoy a complimentary beverage and a delicious hot dog on the grill from our Hell’s Hollow Bar & Grill from 8 am-8 pm. Spring Valley encourages guests to stop by to say “hello” or make a day of it and golf with them at a special rate.
Spring Valley Golf & Lodge is known for its loyal customers, like golfer Mary Ann King.
Mary Ann King, who lives nearby Spring Valley, said she has been golfing the course for about ten years. “I think they try really hard to take care of the customer. They are very accommodating. Each year they try to improve on the course. Every year I see them making improvements, and you can tell they are very proud of that,” King said.
King said she has a group of friends from Erie she invites down to Spring Valley every year, where they all stay and have dinner after their game. King said the number of women who come down had gone up since they started two years ago, going into their third year. “Compared to other golf courses I’ve been at, Spring Valley respects women. They have stuff in the pro shop for men and women. I think you are respected, man or woman, when you go in there,” King said.
The Women’s League, which meets on Tuesdays, has about 23 members and is another favorite part of Spring Valley for King. King said they have women of all ages in the league and that this league is a great place for people of all skills levels.
She said the women in the league love to hang out after playing and sit outside with food and drinks. She said the staff at Spring Valley makes it a welcoming environment for them to do that. King said they create a fun and comfortable atmosphere for guests.
“Prior to COVID, if I would go out with some friends to Spring Valley, it was an atmosphere where people would chit chat,” King said.
