Spark Golf Leagues Are Back at Spring Valley for 2025!

Spring Valley Golf & Lodge is excited to welcome back Spark Golf Leagues for the 2025 season! If you’re looking for a fun, flexible way to enjoy golf with friends—or to make new ones—our Spark League is the perfect fit. This season promises a laid-back atmosphere, friendly competition, and plenty of opportunities to sharpen your skills on our beautiful course in Mercer, PA.

What Is Spark Golf?

Spark Golf is a social, 9-hole league designed to make golf enjoyable and approachable for everyone. Unlike traditional leagues, there’s no long-term commitment, no membership fees, and no pressure. Whether you’re a beginner, a seasoned golfer, or somewhere in between, Spark Golf is all about playing at your own pace, meeting great people, and having a blast on the course.

Flexible Weekly Play
Our league tees off every Thursday starting April 3rd, 2025. Play every week or only when your schedule allows. There’s no need to commit to every round—you decide when you want to join.

Free to Join & Affordable
Joining the league is completely free. You only pay for the rounds you play. Want to save a little extra? You can prepay for Spark credit at a discount, making each round even more affordable.

All Skill Levels Welcome
Never played in a league before? No problem. Spark Golf provides a relaxed environment where both experienced golfers and newcomers can have fun. You don’t even need an established handicap—Spark calculates it for you as you play.

How the Spark Golf League Works

Curious about the format? Here’s a breakdown of how our Spark Golf League operates:

Simple Scoring System

Each player uses the Spark Golf app or mobile website to enter their scores as they play. Scores update live on a digital leaderboard, adding a fun, real-time competitive element to your round.

Play Your Own Ball

Unlike scrambles, where teams hit the same ball, each player in Spark Golf plays their own ball from tee to hole. The team’s score for each hole is the better score of the two players on the team, calculated based on net scores adjusted for handicaps.

Individual & Team Games

Every round includes a team net game, an individual net game and individual net skins. Whether you’re playing solo and joining up with other golfers or bringing a buddy, you’ll have the chance to compete for weekly bragging rights and earn points toward the season standings.

Relaxed Rules & Friendly Competition

Spark Golf focuses on fun—not strict rule enforcement. While basic golf etiquette and fairness are maintained, the emphasis is on keeping the game enjoyable for all players.

• Sign up for free: Simply head to our league page here and click “Join for free.”
• Register for rounds: Choose the weeks that work best for your schedule. You can register for future rounds right through the website or Spark app.
• Prepay & Save: Want to save some cash? Purchase Spark credit in advance for discounted rates.
• Show up & Play: Grab your clubs, download the Spark Golf app, and come out ready to have fun.

If a round fills up, don’t worry—join the waitlist. If a spot opens up, you’ll be automatically added and ready to tee off. Can’t make it after registering? You can easily unregister and receive Spark credit for future use.
